Hi Devil Rays Families! 🏊♂️💥

The wait is officially over! It is time for our FIRST Home Meet of the 2026 Summer Season! Get ready for a morning full of fast swimming, loud cheering, and lots of team spirit.

Here is everything you need to know to get ready for Saturday morning:

🦆 Meet Theme: Rubber Duckies! 🦆

To show our incredible Devil Ray spirit, please have your swimmer(s) wear their team spirit wear and anything and everything related to Rubber Duckies!

⏰ Meet Schedule

Please make sure you are on time so we can start the morning smoothly!

• 6:30 AM: Swimmer Arrival & Check-In. All swimmers need to arrive and check in with the Coaches at the team area.
• Note: The team area is located in the parking lot nearest the double gate pool entry. Please be aware of the cones blocking off cars from parking in this area! 🚗🛑
• 6:50 – 7:05 AM: Devil Rays Warm-Ups! 💦
• 7:30 AM: The meet officially begins with the playing of our National Anthem.

📋 Swimmer Events & Expectations

• Heat Sheets: Heat sheets for Saturday’s meet will be available on our website later today.
• Stay in the Team Area: Please have your swimmer stay in the designated team area between their events. Both teams have a LOT of kids, and the Clerk of Course needs to be able to find swimmers easily to get them to their races on time!
• Cheer Until the End! We love supporting our teammates! We’d like ALL swimmers to stay until the very end to cheer each other on. 🗣️📣
• Leaving early? If you absolutely must leave before the meet ends, you must check out with the Clerk of Course to ensure your child doesn't have any remaining relay or individual events.

🎒 What Should Swimmers Bring?

Pack those bags the night before! Here is your checklist:

• 🩱 Suits & Caps: All swimmers should wear their team suit and a swim cap (Devil Rays caps or solid colors are perfect).
• Need a cap? We will have them available for purchase at concessions before the meet!
• 👕 Official Team T-Shirt!
• 🥽 Goggles (plus a backup pair if you have them!)
• Towels (bringing an extra one is highly recommended)
• 🌤️ Appropriate clothing for the weather & Sunscreen
• 💧 Water bottle & healthy Snacks
• 🃏 Downtime Entertainment: Something to do between events (cards, books, travel games, etc.)
• ⚡ TEAM "DEVIL RAY" SPIRIT!

🍔 Concessions (Come Hungry!) 🍩

Our concession stand is fully stocked for our hungry swimmers and families! We will be serving up Chick-fil-A breakfast sandwiches, Anita’s burritos, donuts, snacks, and refreshing drinks.

💵 Payment: Please bring Cash or Venmo for concessions!

🛒 Devil Rays Merch: We will also have exclusive Devil Ray Croc charms, Pura Vida bracelets, team magnets, caps, and shirts for sale at the concession stand. Grab yours before they sell out!

🪑 Spectators

The spectator section will be roped off on the far side of the pool. Please bring your own lawn chairs so you can set up comfortably and get a front-row seat to watch the kids crush it! ☀️

🤝 Volunteers: What You Need to Know

Our meets cannot happen without our amazing volunteers! Thank you in advance!

• Arrival: ALL volunteers need to arrive by 7:00 AM (unless you have an earlier start time for meet set-up or concession delivery).
• Check-In: Check in with our Volunteer Manager, Tiffany Forester, as soon as you arrive! Tiffany will be located at the table to the right as you enter the pool deck via the side gate.
• ⚠️ CRITICAL NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT CHECK IN WITH TIFFANY AND COMPLETE YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL NOT GET CREDIT FOR YOUR VOLUNTEER POINTS! ⚠️
• Special Roles: Tent Taxi and Concession Stand Retriever volunteers will receive separate, additional instructions for their roles.
• Setup volunteers please arrive at 6:00 AM; a separate email with additional instructions will be sent to you today.

Role-Specific Meetings (7:00 AM):

• Timers & Runners: After checking in with Tiffany, report to the far end of the pool (away from the parking lot) at 7:00 AM for the Timers Meeting and to receive lane assignments. ⏱️
• Relay Judges: Please check in with the Head Timer immediately following the Timers Meeting.
• Stroke & Turn Officials: Report to the Referee at 7:00 AM near the Starter's position for the Meet Officials Briefing and rotation discussion. ⚖️

SCHOOL's OUT... let's get pumped for our first meet! 🥳☀️

To celebrate the last day of school and get our energy sky-high for Saturday, there is NO Friday afternoon practice (June 12). Instead, join us tonight for our mega-fun Pep Rally & Bingo Night!

• ⏰ When: Tonight, Friday, June 12 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM
• 🦆 Duck Decorating: Decorate your very own rubber ducky to bring to Saturday's "Rubber Ducky" themed meet! 🎨
• 🎟️ Bingo: 5 rounds of high-stakes, high-fun Bingo with awesome prizes!
• 💵 Cost: Swimmers play FREE! Non-swimmers/family members are welcome to join the bingo fun for just $1.
